Columbia College Student Journalists Report For The State Newspaper

On July 16 and August 21, Columbia College Writing for Print and Digital Media majors Ashly Higgins and Paige Riggins had their news stories published on the front page of The State newspaper.
Throughout this academic year, the Higgins-Riggins duo will serve as paid freelance writers for The State, supplementing the work of the newspaper’s political reporters during the presidential primary season.
They also serve as the political reporting team for our campus newspaper, The PostScript.
This real world, hands-on experience was coordinated by Writing for Print and Digital Media (WPDM) Program Director and Senior Lecturer Claudia Smith Brinson.
